BAR HARBOR—A storm with drenching rains and tropical winds came across the island last night and left many residents and visitors without power, thanks to downed lines and trees.

That’s out of a total of 1,924, which is 99.53% of customers impacted. In Mount Desert 84% of its customers were out (2,229). In Tremont, 99.28% of customers were without power (1,520 out of 1,531). Only two of 535 customers on Swan’s Island and two of the 422 on Cranberry Isles had power.
