With the help of supplemental donations from our amazing community, Ledgelawn residents give out candy to all who visit, and rarely have to turn off the lights early because "we ran out!!!"
Thank you in advance for your continued generosity in this special community night.
Wrapped candy donations are accepted at Hannaford in Bar Harbor through Sunday, Oct 27.
Delivery to residents who require supplemental donations will be Tuesday, October 29.

"Song of the Witches" from Shakespeare's MacBeth (copies will be available so we can all read it together!)
"Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing,
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble!"
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Howl-O-Run is named after former SPCA Board President Jim Nobil. He served as president of the non-profit organization for many years and was instrumental in raising the funds to build the current SPCA shelter in Trenton, which opened its doors in 2010.
Nobil passed away in 2013, but his wife, Lynn Nobil, and daughter, Kiersten Persoff, are still active SPCA volunteers.
This year’s presenting event sponsor is the Maine Community Foundation Mimi Fund.

From Conners Emerson:
“Halloween is right around the corner and I am sure that your child is thinking about their costume already. Weather permitting, grades 1-8 will participate in the CES Halloween Parade through town with Kindergarten cheering us on.
“The parade route starts at the Village Green at approximately 1:25 p.m. and goes down Main Street, left onto Cottage Street, we will wave to our Kindergarten friends at the Town Office, and then head back up to the school. We asked that you cheer us on from the sidewalks, but please refrain from giving our students any candy or walking with us. (It is a school event so we treat the parade as we do all walking field trips.)”
TRICK OR TREATING ON LEDGELAWN!
