BAR HARBOR—Looking for activities for your kids during April break? Interested in taking a tour of the Abbe Museum before May?
The Abbe Museum will be open for Spring Community Days on April 23 and 24, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Delve into the world of the Wabanaki with the Abbe Museum’s Curator of Education Christiana Becker. From 10:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. hear a reading of the Children’s books Water Walkers by Carol Trembath, Nibi’s Water Song by Sunshine Tenasco, and Little People of the Dawn by Minquansis Sapiel.
Visitors are welcome to join a guided tour of the People of the First Light Gallery from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
This event also features a giveaway of All Our Relatives | N‘dilnabamuk - A Guide to Wabanaki Environmental Allyship, and coloring pages of Jordan Bennet’s (Mi’kmaq) Thirteen Moons.
2024 admissions prices apply for this event. Adults $12, Seniors $10, ages 5-17 $7, and children 4 and under are free.
