Acadia National Park Carriage Roads Now Open to Pedestrian Use

MOUNT DESERT ISLAND Acadia’s historic carriage roads have reopened to pedestrians (foot travel) only. Carriage roads remain vulnerable to damage from bike and equestrian use due to the soft road surface, so these activities are prohibited for the time being. Please help us protect this treasured resource!
