Bar Harbor Man Arrested in Connection to Friday’s Lamoine Shooting
Fugitive Caught in Bar Harbor Back in New Hampshire
BAR HARBOR—A Bar Harbor man was arrested Saturday in connection to a Lamoine shooting Friday night.
According to Sharon Moss, the Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson, Dimitry Dubrovsky, 29, of Bar Harbor and Duncan Haass, 30, of Lamoine were both charged with attempted murder.
A 911 call reporting gunshots and an altercation at approximately 9:57 p.m. that night brought police to a Stolt Road, Lamoine residence. Police were not originally able to find a victim or any suspects. Another 911 call tipped them off to Spencer Trott, 37, walking down Ellsworth’s Bayside Road. Trott had allegedly been staying at the home and was shot. He is in serious but stable condition.
Two years ago, Dubrovsky was allegedly involved in an August road rage incident that also involved gunfire. He was charged with aggravated reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and had allegedly left his motor vehicle, shot four rounds, hitting the front passenger tire of another vehicle. That incident also occurred in Lamoine.
Dubrovsky and Haass are scheduled to make a court appearance at 1 p.m. today.
Jereme Gee
Jereme Gee appeared in Hancock County District Court on a fugitive from justice charge that was dismissed so that he could be extradited back to New Hampshire. He has a current charge of terrorizing and theft that allegedly occurred on June 28. Those charges are from the Ellsworth Police Department. He has a future court date of October 12 at 10:30 a.m. and a court-appointed attorney, of Steve Juskewitch. Gee had a hearing July 13 and brought to New Hampshire the next day.
According to the Ellsworth Police Department, The incident in Ellsworth occurred at around 12:15 p.m. at 191 Main St. , Margaritas Mexican Restaurant.
The charges are that he allegedly:
Theft Class E – failed to pay for food and drink;
Criminal Mischief Class D – broke a plate when leaving;
Terrorizing Class D – left a threatening handwritten note to staff that caused alarm.
Gee was arrested in Bar Harbor on June 29 after a search that lasted more than a day and focused on the woods of Hulls Cove.
According to a release put out by the Bar Harbor Police Department,
”On 6/29/2023, at approximately 1427 hours, Jereme Gee, age 40, of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire was arrested following yesterday’s incident in Bar Harbor. Gee was detained peacefully and without incident on State Highway 3 in Bar Harbor in the area of Hulls Cove. He was provided medical attention and then transported to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth.”
The capture occurred after Shaun Farrar, a Bar Harbor Story reporter, spotted the suspect, Jereme Gee, 40, walking on Route 3 in Hulls Cove and called Captain David Kerns to tell him where he’d seen Gee. Gee was apprehended between Salt Cottages and R.L. White on Route 3, which is close to Cover Farm Road.
Gee had fled from police after they initially located him at the Best Western Hotel on Wednesday afternoon.
He spent the next twenty-four hours in a heavily wooded area and was occasionally spotted by citizens and law enforcement before his eventual capture Thursday afternoon.
