In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of needle-felting and work with a variety of dyed fleece, spun wool, and silk sari embellishments to create your own personalized piece of art. It's like coloring with wool! Bring your own picture, download an image, or let your imagination run wild as you re-create the iconic fall landscapes of Maine.
All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity! This workshop is suitable for participants of all ages, although those under 9 will need an older partner to help guide them through the process.

Explore the Foundations of Design in a 6-Week Pen and Ink Course at ArtWaves
BAR HARBOR—ArtWaves Community Art Center is excited to announce an in-depth 6-week course led by Ernie McMullen, designed for participants of all skill levels and artistic interests. Whether you are a beginner, an accomplished artist, or someone looking to re-ignite your creative passion, this class will provide a comprehensive exploration of the essential design principles that underpin all visual arts.
Course Overview:
The course, "Drawing, Design, and the Education of Vision," will focus on pen and ink techniques while delving into the visual elements and principles that are crucial to a well-rounded arts education. Through engaging lectures, homework assignments, and still-life projects, students will deepen their understanding of the following key topics:
