BAR HARBOR—It’s our weekly piece documenting Bar Harbor town government and other similar meetings that we know of. Please let us know if we’ve missed something. Also, sometimes things are on the town calendars and are cancelled or rescheduled, so make sure to double check before you head over!
All the meetings take place at the Bar Harbor Municipal Building at 93 Cottage Street unless otherwise noted. And they usually have a time for public comment. So, go! Be informed! Be part of the process. You deserve to be.
Parks and Recreation Committee

Parks and Recreation Committee meetings are usually on first and third Mondays. This change to a Tuesday meeting is for this instance only.

Town Council
The council will discuss possible changes to the Land Use Ordinance that would potentially go before the voters this spring. It will also discuss scheduling a hearing about an ordinance banning flavored tobacco sales in Bar Harbor as well as a potential change to the Short-Term Rental Registration Ordinance regarding fines.
Members are also scheduled for executive sessions for the town manager’s yearly evaluation as well as a lawsuit brought by several Bar Harbor businesses against the town’s new cruise ship disembarkation passenger limits policy, which was approved by voters this past November.
Pat’s Pizza is also applying again for a special amusement permit which would allow one musician, dancing, and mechanical amplification.
