As many of you know, we’ve been having a bit of a health emergency week in our house, and my brain isn’t quite at its best. Plus, I have a ton of work deadlines for novels. Plus, I had to bring in our sweet boy, Spartacus, for a mass removal today.
No excuses, obviously.
The truth is that I’m just horrified.
Why?
Well, I made an embarrassing blunder.
Many thanks to Lilea Simis who alerted me that I had mistakenly left the placeholder for the Harriman representative’s last name at last night’s Bar Harbor Town Council meeting.
Lisa’s last name is not WHATEVER. It is Sawin. Apologies for my failure to update my placeholder after I checked on her name’s spelling.
This is one of the many horrors that happens when you don’t have a team of copyeditors helping you make clean copy before you put out the news.
When this happens? You get horrified.
But you also get grateful for people like Simis who gently and kindly tell you what needs to be fixed. You realize that you’re part of a bigger team and a bigger community.
I think of all of you as that team, so please let me know when I fail. I appreciate it and I really appreciate you.
Carrie
You are so loved by so many.
