I just checked my calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1 for I initially thought the report of Mount Desert approving the removal of employee housing at the Asticou by an out of area conglomerate was an April Fools joke? When I kept reading and discovered that not only had they allowed that they also allowed significant expansion of the inn's carrying capacity I just knew it had to be an April's Fool spoof. Lets see you cut employee housing on one hand and increase employee requirements with the other. And then, of course, there's the matter of resistance to,the construction of modestly priced homes for local working people. I don't care what my calendar says I just know this article has to be a joke!

What a shame that the Asticou is removing the outdoor dining. Guess they’re maximizing their profit.
