"The current legal fees for the town are just under $300,000 but more will occur because the town’s attorney will be part of the rule-making to implement the changes to the town’s land use ordinance."

ThankYou for including this information. It would be good to have an accounting of the 'billable hours' for defending Bar Harbor against good neighbor APPL.

ThankYou APPL.

ThankYou former Town Manager Kevin Sutherland, and the prior Town Council. It would be good to have an accounting of 'billable hours' for town officials looking for legal ways to defeat and obstruct the Citizens Initiative. (If they even bothered to look for legal ways.)

It would be good to know how much the council spent on legal fees to broker a deal for disgraced former Town Manager Kevin Sutherland to be given a platinum parachute to get out of town, after he was caught on video colluding with APPL to defeat the town lawyer's defense against APPL.

It would also be good to know what it cost Bar Harbor to settle a suit resulting from a town officer being instigated by Leonard Leo to violate the constitutional rights of a resident. And whether former the former Town Manager or Town Councilors consulted with town lawyers on how they might help Leonard Leo suppress the civil rights of another resident.

And it would be good to have an accounting of all funds spent on lawyers.
