What a welcome the town of Bar Harbor gave to the first cruise ship to arrive after a winter of chaotic actions by Mr. Sidman and the others who probably voted for this action without a clear picture of what their cruise ship revenue does for so many working people and their families who live in Bar Harbor. I am not sure what working and tax-paying property owners and residents would ever turn down this type of revenue which helps this small town in so many ways. A new school is badly needed and to turn down this tax revenue is preposterous. I hope that all summer the bustling tourists continue to come to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and so many beautiful places on the Island to spend their money! That way, my grandchildren may not have to attend school in terrible and embarrassing building they use now...and those that work and live in the town will be able to keep their jobs, their homes, their businesses, and make Bar Harbor what it has always been...a great little town and wonderful community to call home.
