That in itself is a problem. How does something get on the ballot without a town council as well as legal review? Something does not smell right here. There has to be more to it than that.
If you go back and watch the council or warrant committee meetings from the spring/summer of 2022, before the election, you can see everything except what was discussed in executive session.
Funny how the council complains about how to enforce the Cruise ship ordinance due to the "way it is written"..... Didn't the town write the ordinance? Another reason we need to get rid of Peacock, Friedmann, Minutolo and the rest of these yahoos as soon as possible as they do not know what they are doing! I am going for Sidman and Young!
Neither the Town Council, nor (I believe) Town Staff had any hand in authoring the language in citizens’ initiative, nor would they have had the ability to alter the language within it (at least from my understanding of the statute). And you’re correct: while we’ve won a Home Rule victory on the constitutionality of the ordinance, the application of it - at least as it is currently written - is a very different ball game and is why we’re trying to pursue, as a Council, as many avenues as possible to resolve those issues.

Good afternoon!

Mr Sidman wrote it without consulting the town, and why there are so many enforcement issues.
Wow…what a comprehensive article. Thank you for all your work…not a little article!
