Considering the town council has now completely dismantled their manager’s office and removed multiple employees within a matter of weeks, it’s hard to believe the chair’s appreciation for “amazing staff” when it seems like council members are the ones trying to derail this train!
“I know that nobody up here now is taking phone calls with Leonard Leo,” he said. “It’s not accurate. It’s not true.”
Ha. So it's true that Sutherland took calls from Leo. (This had been mentioned by another town official. But multiple confirmations are useful.) Leo and Sutherland also pressured the Bar Harbor Police - who unlike Sutherland 1)actually had jurisdiction and 2)defended the Leo Project as "protected by the First Amendment and compliant with the Maine Criminal Code." Sutherland diverted town resources to: erasing chalk messages Leo opposed; consulting with Town lawyers about legal action; peddling lies to the press; among other involvement. While Sutherland was sitting 'up there' at Town Council Meetings, councilors refused to give an accounting of Sutherland's actions. And how much it cost the Town. They still are.

Hi, Stevie. If you ever want to talk, you can send me a message. I hope you're okay.
