As someone who pays for subscriptions to the Islander, the BDN, PBS, and the NYT, I can honestly say that yours is my best investment in news media by far. It is amazing to me that a couple with children finds time to report what is happening in our community, and to do it accurately and fairly. The others could learn a lot from you
Your journalism and photos are right on!Being an MDI native and formally been involved in MDI news at the Bar Harbor Times back in the60’s and 70’s!You are doing a tremendous service to all on giving fair and honest news!Keep up your great work!
When I was a kid my first job was delivering newspapers (The Hartford Courant). Being something of a nerd, I actually started reading it every day even though I was only in 7th grade. So I will always have a fondness for news, especially these days when consolidation and the digital world have done their (bad) job on the tradition. Keep up the good work. It's worth every penny.
Happy to read about what's happening here and staying in the loop. I don't live on the island, but consider Maine my second home. My folks live 2 hours north of MDI and I'm here working about 4 times a year. I love supporting community and can't wait to go to the farmers market tomorrow. I'm a new subscriber and excited to see how I can contribute as a photographer. Feel free to reach out anytime you need a hand.
