Clipless bicycle pedals are widely used and once you get used to them they work fairly well. But if I had a buck for every cyclist injured because they was unable to free a foot quickly enough to avoid a crash I'd be wealthy enough to stop picking up bottles and cans on the side of the road. I switched to Power Straps years ago and they are not only much less expensive they offer all the same advantages of clipless pedals with none of the danger!
