December 20 UPDATE: 6 AM Via Superintendent Mike Zboray this morning: Good Morning - Due to the storm, power has still not returned to the Mount Desert Island High School. We will start the day with a 2hr. Delay. If power is not restored by 8am, a message will go out canceling school at that time.

Versant Power is evaluating initial damage caused by a storm bringing wind and rain to northern and eastern Maine. We expect that ongoing storm conditions will continue to cause damage through the day.
Estimated restoration times will be provided when storm conditions subside and damage is assessed. Crews are focused on making downed lines safe at this time, particularly along roadways.
